What is a Centipede?
A popular subdivision of the Team category is the Centipede. All of the team information applies to Centipedes. However, unlike a standard Team a Centipede consists of 5 or more participants who stay physically connected for the duration of the race.
Why Walk/Run as a Centipede?

How do I register as a Centipede?
- Recruit centipede members (at least 8)
- Decide on a team name for your centipede
- Make sure all those desiring to be part of your centipede indicate the chosen team name when registering.
- Have centipede members register either online or with a hard copy registration form
- Set a pledge goal of at least $1,000 and collect pledges online or by using the printable pledge form.
- Design your centipede: How will you stay connected? Be creative! Will you dress in costume or a theme? While all costumes should be family friendly, the sky is the limit!
- Bring your pledges to the Family Care Network’s headquarters at 3765 S. Higuera by May 7th or bring them with you on race day.
- On race day, check in with the designated Centipede Wrangler at the start line to be officially registered as a centipede.
